What is the original intent of the Rubber Room?

Since the Brian Mac thread has been banned to the Site Promotions Room, I thought it would be a good time to ask what the original intent was of the Rubber Room since it is not to expose a piece of garbage like Brian Mac.

I think the personal attacks on posters are un-called for and I did not participate in them, as is the case with most of the regulars in the Brian Mac thread.

Here's Where You're missing the point

The Brian Mac thread survived for over a year in the rubber room because it was giving people who were screwed by this guy an opportunity to vent their frustration. What the thread offered was exactly what the rubber room was for. It is not a tout thread, it is a place where the people who have lived through the Brian Mac nightmare can let people know what they are in store for if they decide to ride the train. This is far and away the most visited thread the rubber room has ever seen. By putting it in the site promotions, you are attempting to exile it in hopes that it disappears. It reaks.

How many of these threads you are banishing would survive a year? This is an important outlet and informational piece and I will guarantee you if you polled it, people would vote to bring it back. I actually don't get your moving any of them since I thought this was the anything goes place for therx. aceyduceytrey could post all the lesbian porn he wants with or without the thread that were here. You are either getting drunk with your power or paid for your decision.

It's not about whether YOU know he loses tulsa, it's about those that don't. It is about stopping other people from joining his service and having their lives turned upside down. This aholes needs to be stopped. Obviously I struck a nerve or the thread wouldn't have survived as long as it has.

What is the original intent of the Rubber Room?

The Rubber Room is a free forum for Rx. posters who want to rant or rave - flame or bash. However it is not here for single minded agenda driven haters. Regardless if the hated individuals do sell sports picks, this forum is not here soley to bash these people. In the last month or two these "tout" bashers have run off all of the regular RR posters.

Perhaps Site Promotions is not the ideal place for these tout bash threads but for the time being that is where they are going to have to stay.

The Brian Mac thread was here long before you had this problem. I think if you look at the purpose of the thread you will see why it has survived this long. How many threads have survived a year or more since your inception? We are not bashing Brian Mac, we are telling the truth about his service and what can happen to you if you ride that train. You promote yourselves as being here to help the gambler, well that is exactly what this thread is doing. How you can lump that in with all the bashing threads I don't get. This is purely an infromational piece!

seems to me that over the years the mods have run off all the really good rubber room posters. not the mods fault, those guys usually just cant keep stuff where it belongs.

This is your own post wilhiem. I really don't understand your changing the purpose of the rubber room after all this time. The Brian Mac thread belongs here and not in site promotions. The site promotions not only gets very little activity, but the purpose of site promotions is to allow the touts a place to promote their business, this has nothing to do with that. Hell at one point you had even eliminated the site promotions from the rx. This thread has nothing to do with promoting Brian Mac's business, we would like to see him out of business. He has caused a lot of damage to a lot of people and that is why this thread survives like it does. The Brian Mac thread should never have been sent over there. This banishment is in direct conflict with what your sites purports to be for which I thought was to help the gambler. I have invested a lot of time and energy into this thread and feel I have been unfairly lumped into your attempt to rid the bashing. Hell you have 2 threads and probably more right now (one started by you) where the co-captain is being bashed and another about kapusta where the touts are being bashed. You are not going to be able to stop people from taking shots at these guys. By banishing my thread to site promotions it not only places it in a completely inappropriate forum, but makes it that much more likely that the thread will get lost and no longer make it a viable outlet to let the world know what a scam this guy is running. We have been able to inform a lot of people about the scam that is Brian Mac Sports with very accurate and truthful analysis of our experiences with the asshole. This thread is an outlet for us to continue to expose the truth about brian and his crew. Your moving it is a direct slap at all of us that have worked so hard to keep other people from falling into his web of lies. Sorry Jimmy it is staying with the rest of the tout bash threads. Have you noticed the views your thread is getting in Site Promotions. Personally I believe it will do a lot more good there than here. The Rubber Room has mainly the same posters coming and going. Site promotions is where someone really interested in paying a tout might go to look for info. Why would a newbie even come near the Rubber Room. In short leaving your thread here is like preaching to the choir.

Now these are the ones who joined after the thread bumped for the start of football. In addition most of the people who were there in the beginning continued to contribute. It looks to me like the choir keeps growing. By stationing my thread in Siberia, you are attempting to see it end and I don't get it. This has been an incredibly informative piece and if you truly cared about the gambler you would leave it where it will continue to grow. The origianl thread is now back to page 6 for godsake. That is the problem with that room. The touts keep bumping their stuff and the threads get buried very quickly. In addition the views and replies in that thread are a joke. No one goes there. It is an afterthought at the bottom of the forum page that was actually eliminated for a time. People go to the rubber room much more often, they may go looking for some porn or whatever, but invariably they find my thread and it continues to grow. Your argument is very weak. The only argument you have is it is your site and you will do what you want.

Your argument about # of posters who posted in a year long thread is lame. Natrually it is going to get some posts. Take a look at the thread of late - nothing but bashing.
